Ciao Baby

Tonight, we went out to Ciao Baby in Massapequa with some of the guys Marc works with and their wives/girlfriends.  It was really fun, and delicious as usual.  I think ciao baby might be one of our favorite restaurants.  The food is amazing and the portions are Marc-sized HUGE!!!

When we have guests visiting us, we usually try to go to Ciao baby for at least one meal.  Yummy! These were friends I had not met before, and we had a really good time.  We're already planning a BBQ here at casa de winkler on May 1st. I'm looking forward to cooking for a group again, and Marc can't wait to fire up the smoker with some ribs.  We had so much food!  For appetizers, we had the Italian spring roll, the rice ball, the caprese salad, the caesar salad, and the stuffed artichoke.  For the Entree, I had the skirt steak, which comes with mashed potatoes, fresh steamed vegetables, and crispy onions and Marc had the parmesan trio; which is chicken parmigiana, eggplant parmigiana, and veal parmigiana with a side of gemelli pasta with vodka sauce.
For dessert, since all 8 of us were pretty full, we shared a slice of Red Velvet cake and a plate of Zeppolis.  For those who don't know, Zeppolis are a lot like funnel cake.  Delicious bits of fried dough coated in powdered sugar and served with chocolate sauce.  What's not to like?  It was a fabulous meal and great company.  I'm looking forward to getting together with this group again soon.

Cheers!

P.s. Marc said he has a full belly, but still says "Hi!"
